Convince and unite to make your mark in the Supply Chain

Coming from a dual technical and commercial training in IT, I started working as a technical salesperson at a distributor of computer hardware and software. After this first experience, I reoriented myself towards web development and joined BDFWeb (formerly B2PWeb) in 2006.

“I wasn’t really excited about the sector”

Over the years, I have progressed to positions of Development Project Manager, Customer Service and Telesales Manager, and finally Product Director for 10 years now within the company.

“I was also very impressed by the behind the scenes of logistics”

My discovery of the Supply Chain first took place in Transport because B2PWeb is a solution dedicated to Transport professionals. Later, while working on the company's other solutions, I was able to seize the opportunity to discover the professions of shippers, logisticians and industrialists. I remember very well my first impression of this sector, which was unknown to me, when I applied to B2PWeb. So to speak, I wasn't really excited about the sector!

Despite everything, I discovered an environment packed with human values and pragmatism, admittedly a little rough around the edges at times. I was also very impressed by the “behind the scenes” of logistics, in particular all the processes and technologies implemented to transport our goods.

As a woman, whether in the Supply Chain sector or more generally in technical environments, it is often more difficult to find a place. There are fewer of us in strategic positions.

“It is often more difficult to find a place”

Taking up a position as Manager and then Product Director took time for me to be “naturally recognized” as the contact person in “my area”. Whether internally or externally. I had to be tenacious and sometimes swallow my pride to convince and unite. Especially since we were creating a position. Today, I think that this challenge has been met, in particular thanks to the men and women who trusted me and whom I would like to thank.
