For the entrepreneurial side, first of all in 2006, I was 16 years old at the time, I created a shared video website. Four years later, in 2010, I developed a silicone cigarette case but… the state (regulations) put an end to the project.

At the end of my studies (Paris Dauphine University of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, Master at EDHEC in Business Management), I became aware in the family business (1001 Courses) that there was a big gap between the tools used on a daily basis and the technology available on the market.

I first tried to develop a delivery service for e-merchants based on 1001 trips but I quickly realized that this service was not competitive and I decided to refocus on providing a service for transport companies. To do this, I surround myself with an expert in data analysis (Cédric HERVET – Mining Engineer + Research Master and Doctorate in Optimization).

And we are embarking on the development of CITODI.

SprintProject: And today'today?

Our model, exclusively BtoB, addresses both transport startups and large groups of carriers or shippers. Today, it is mainly these large groups that work with us (DPD France / Total / Cerba Healthcare / Glasseo, Alliance Renault Nissan).

This is also a very encouraging sign for us which proves that large companies are not afraid to trust startups with new technological approaches.

In terms of economic model, we are on a mix between pilot billing then an annual license depending on the number of deliveries. But we are considering another method of remuneration.

In 2017 we achieved €60k in turnover and should exceed €250k this year, growth mainly linked to post-pilot deployments with our first clients.

Today, we have self-financed the company and the 1.5 years of R&D. As a result, CITODI is owned at 100% by Cédric and me.

In order to improve our network in the innovation/investment ecosystem, we joined the StationF accelerator. At the same time, we are looking to get closer to a university laboratory to continue developing our models.

SprintProject: C'what is it'future from CITODI?

Our main goal is to become THE reference solution which will be integrated into our customers' TMS.

To do this, we are currently developing a question form which will allow each of our clients to uniquely configure the tool and reconfigure it infinitely according to changes in the context.

For more information

SprintProject: This interview with Jonathan demonstrates the dynamic of innovation, the world of route optimization solutions, fundamental solutions for “taming the city”.

Other startups also address this sector, for example Urbantz or Fleeters (for Europeans).
